Hi everyone!
I hope your week is off to a good start. I just wanted to share this look that I wore  today a sleeveless coat the type of outwear I love especially on gloomy overcast and rainy days. Days like these help me to remember why I want to move to Durban in the first place. Continue reading “Black and Yellow”

Y’all know that when it comes to fashion I’m a more-is-more kind of girl. Prints, color, texture – you name it I’ve worn it. but sometimes it’s nice to take a minimalistic approach. In todays look, I did just that. I paired black and gold to create a sleek and sophisticated casual outfit. And, how amazing is this gold Jersey from Nimcouture!?  detailing acts as the perfect modern twist on a classic silhouette. I’m in love. Look topped off with the classic channel bag in calf skin 💋

I hope you are having a great week so far! I just wanted to share this simple look that I wore today while missioning to the  airport. We are still having a major heat wave so this sheer army green top is my way of embracing fall outerwear without passing out from a heatstroke. Hopefully it cools down a bit soon, I’m so ready for cozy sweaters and boots!

YSL Manifesto Perfume

2016-02-16-09.08.06.png.png

It’s tempting, after smelling Yves Saint Laurent’s Manifesto, to ponder what the brief for the perfume might have been, that is, what sort of declaration it is supposed to make. “Say as little as possible so as not to offend anyone”? “Say what everybody else is saying so you won’t stand out in the crowd”? And what is with Yves Saint Laurent these days, anyway? Have they got a bad case of the jitters after Elle and Parisienne? Continue reading “YSL Manifesto Perfume”

Revlon colourburst matte balm

image

After receiving my goodies from revlon south Africa and hearing people rave about them for months, I finally cracked and scooped up a bunch of the Revlon Matte and Lacquer Balms. I’m a big fan of the crayon-style lip pencil trend we’ve been seeing the last few years because I find that they are generally easy to use and wear on an everyday basis.  Revlon is one of my favorite brands when it comes to lip products, so I had pretty high hopes for these. I picked up five of the Matte Balm colors in shades that I thought would suit me best:

Audacious: bright coral.
Unapologetic: reddish pink.
Striking: warm red
Showy: bright, blue-toned pink
Elusive: warm, medium pink
These balms come in plastic “twist-up” style packaging, and the first thing I noticed is the super creamy consistency.  The product glides onto the lips with such ease, and the finish is a velvety matte, as opposed to chalky or dry looking. I find that matte lip colours will often emphasize lines or dryness in the lips, but these don’t at all.❤
Overall, I definitely recommend this line of lip products!  My favourites of the bunch are Audacious, Unapologetic, and Showy.  I was a little weary about Audacious being too orange for my complexion, but I fell in love as soon as I tried it on.

Have you tried the Matte Balms yet?  Which colours are your favourite?

Revlon Red carpet glam with E!online #Einafricaparty

image

So the lovely ladies from Revlon South Africa did my make up for the exclusive  E!in africa party by E!online last night it was flawless here’s a little more about the products used on me dolls

Are you ready for your close-up? Revlon believes you will be after applying this liquid foundation with a mineral (titanium dioxide and zinc oxide) sunscreen. Given the promise of “perfect, airbrushed skin in any light” I am betting this foundation is one many women will be inclined to try. But should they? Yes, but not for the reasons Revlon wants you to believe—this isn’t Photoshop in a bottle!

This foundation has a beautifully silky texture that’s a pleasure to blend, but its smooth matte (in feel) finish isn’t the picture of airbrushed perfection. In fact, unless you apply several layers of this foundation, minor discolorations such as broken capillaries or freckles are still visible. Coverage remains in the light to medium range. I mentioned the finish was matte in feel, but because Revlon added prismatic shiny particles to this makeup it doesn’t offer a matte look. The shine is relatively subtle but still evident, especially in daylight. Also worth noting is that the amount of mineral sunscreens lends this foundation an absorbent finish that may feel a tad dry unless your skin is oily so prep with with a good emollient moisturizer or toner. My overall look was flawless and I didn’t break out as I usually do when I put on foundation, so here’s my
• Revlon x Nimcouture• look with louboutin pigalles and my favourite lv bag
