I was invited to the  Boardmans new winter collection this afternoon and I’m obsessed with their new collection!

Your winter home worries will soon be a thing of the past. Homeware specialist, Boardmans, recently launched their winter campaign that’s geared to make your home equally cosy and stylish this winter. The launch, attended by handpicked home décor  enthusiasts,  was  set  to  the  backdrop  of  the  Parktown’s  leafy  suburbs  and  showcased a striking range of Boardmans’ latest products which become available in stores from March. “This season, we want to ensure that our consumers are well-equipped with the latest must-haves and are ready to take on winter with our exciting range of assortments. We aim to make sure that Boardmans not only becomes a brand that is synonymous with great  products,  but  also  a  first-choice  lifestyle  brand  supported  by  an  array  of  world  renowned products at great value,” comments Brand Manager Jillian Kay. Homeware décor maven Heather Boting hosted the launch and the attending home- style aficionados were given a personal tour around the private estate while exchanging tips on how to turn cold houses into cosy winter homes. Each room of the house presented a mood for the latest Boardmans trends to look forward to this winter. A few leanings became clear. Earthy and jewel tones constructed the season’s colour palette, while faux fur blankets and fleece throws are a huge trend this season and a definite winter must have. Whether layering them on the bed or using them as an accessory in the lounge, they’re sure to keep the family warm this winter. The sensory experience of winter at home was also a crucial talking point. Nothing says winter more than the aromas of hearty stews and delicious casseroles, which Boardmans’ casserole dishes and kitchenware help the homemaker serve up exquisitely.

The final thought which was commonly shared among the homeware experts was the idea of winter theatre and showcasing hosting skills by beautifying the dinner table and dining area with perfect-for-winter accessories. From the bathroom and bedroom to the living room, dining room, kitchen and beyond, Boardmans  is  ready  to  add  some  flair  to  your  home’s  winter  look  with  their  latest  collections that are ready to deliver a space that is stylishly inspired . Boardmans In-store takeover: The Missposhglam bedroom

I’m excited to share another part of my living space with you guys eeeeeeek. You know I’ve always kept my living space very private and I gave you sneak peak into my kitchen and living room last month. My home and decor style reflects my personal style, so you see the art director and fashionista in me weaves through every part of my life

So I’ve created the ideal summer 2016 bedroom by doing a Boardmans In-store takeover. I’ve always had bedrooms that are as serene as possible with a retreat-like atmosphere, the hotel look. Clean white with minimal colour. For me colours had to be soothing and well blended. People are spending more time at home and definitely want comfort and a place to WANT to go home to.

This summer I’ve switched up my look with Boardmans.I took my colour palette inspiration from possibly my fave part of my home the closet: Blush and Grey closet.jpgBlush pink has become a hit in home décor. However, making this subtle but ambiguous pink shade blend in with your home design can be tricky. One of the things that make blush pink a challenging coluor to decorate with is its reputation as a primarily feminine shade. But today, men have become bolder with colours that were formerly considered feminine territory. And when it comes to home décor, it’s more than fashionable for men as well as women to use this provocative chroma in their home anyway they choose! If you are looking for something more subtle in the hue of pink, blush is the way to go!

This blush and grey bedroom is soft, soothing and looks extremely comfortable. so here’s my missposhglam bedroom,

Your bedroom is your personal sanctuary, so why give it the short end of the stick when it comes to design? A few simple tweaks will leave you with a bedroom so dreamy you won’t even want to fall asleep.

I’ve used blush and grey with gold accents to add a touch of glam to the room, I’m currently obsessed with this Boardmans Gold & White vase the white balances out the gold and gives the perfect balance for the bedroom.

When adding your gold accents try not to go with obvious ornaments but find practical pieces like this stunning Boardmans Gold Flecked Jewellery Box .I stacked it so although it’s a functional piece it still acts as a beautiful piece decor, form meets function.IMG_4418.JPGThe night stand ,yes darlings, a nightstand with all the necessities looks lovely, but that’s not the only reason you see it so often in every magazine spread and on blogs. The combination  a great book, a plant or flower, and lamp (seen below) from Boardmans bedroom is essentially a kit for pre-, post-, and interrupted-sleep comfort. I’ve also added a lovely blanket neatly stacked Hotel Collection Pink Blush Cotton Blanket

I dressed the bed using pink and grey colours using  bedding from the Hotel Collection Pink Oxford Blush Satin Duvet Cover Set, I used the Bedroom Couture Grey Lena Quilt as a folded throw at the edge of the bed

I’ll be going into detail with a few other items and ideas in the bedroom tomorrow and a few other tips, for your most comfortable, luxurious, and personal bedroom ever. with 5 of my must have items!

The last time I had high tea at the Four Seasons Hotel it was a little over a year ago when it was still the WestCliffe Hotel. The Four Seasons served me and my ladies a different yet scrumptious High Tea Menu
